Wilesco Old Smoky Steam Roller Kit D376 (Black/Brass)
Wilesco Old Smoky Steam Roller Kit D376 (Black/Brass)
The Wilesco Old Smoky Steam Roller Kit D376 (black/brass) is another color variation in black and brass. This radiant model will captivate every model enthusiast and collector.
This D376 kit features the same "features" as the already assembled steam roller. With this kit, you can experience firsthand how steam engines are constructed and work step by step on the combination of all components. The kit can also be assembled well by inexperienced steam engine enthusiasts, thanks to the comprehensive, richly illustrated assembly manual. The approximate time required to assemble the steam roller is three to four hours. It is best if it can be assembled without interruption. All the components of the steam tractor contained in the kit have been thoroughly tested for quality control before leaving our steam engine factory.
We have been producing the Old Smoky steam roller in this form since the mid-1960s, it was the first mobile model steam engine in the Wilesco program.
This model of a mobile steam engine was modeled on a widely used steam roller that served in road construction until the 1950s of this century.
Steam roller that can be used both mobile and stationary
Catwalk, chain steering, and transmission coupling are standard details of our Old Smoky. The coupling - operated by a rod to the left of the driver's seat - allows the steam roller to be used as a stationary steam engine. The Old Smoky with its 230 cc boiler is strong enough to both pull accessories in mobile operation and drive driving models in stationary operation. The aluminum wheel rims of this steam roller are polished and painted.
For indoor and outdoor use
Our Wilesco Steam Roller D376 is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. As the Wilesco D365 has a flywheel that can be started in both directions, it can drive both forwards and backwards, and the steering is via a control chain. During operation, the steam roller's chimney smokes realistically. The running time with a load of original Witabs dry fuel is approximately 15 minutes. The running time may be slightly lower when using other brands of dry fuel.
A wonderful and highly recommended memento of old times for all steam engine fans.
This steam engine includes 2 WITABS dry fuel, but please do not forget to stock up on fuel for optimal steam enjoyment with your D365.
